Already forming a habit, the RCL Men’s team beat Lausanne2 by a last minute try, April 2, at home.
This was another “tester” – with a strong opposition and some curious decisions by the game’s adjudicator. Tempers frayed and concentration was tested to the utmost, but, again, the lads held out well. The game was even throughout, but the team as a whole still showed significant “Winter-break Hangover” – something that needed to be lost, quickly, if we were to progress.
Again, the squad as a whole showed strong character and adaptability to cope with missing players and several substitutions. A strong squad spirit kept the game alive until the end, when Disco Dave broke with an interception try very late on.
A rather slow start and a strong, spirited finish, fighting for the win right at the death: was a pattern forming for RCL?
Final score: Luzern 22 – Lausanne2 17
Tries: Kreegoo, Disco Dave (2), Zebedee
