Congratulations to the 2007 WINNERS of the Cindy Trophy at the St Gallen tournament!!!
What a fabulous and exciting tournament for the Dangels a.k.a. ‘Pornstars’ at St Gallen this year! The girls won all three of their matches on the Saturday, winning comfortably and showing great teamwork, skill and support.
Our international imports for the tournament – Elisabeth and Mette from Denmark 🙂 – fit in superbly with the team. Being a spectator for a change, it was great to see how well we played. The support play was superb, continuous pressure on the opposition was excellent, line-outs and scrums were great, and for once the rucks and mauls started to look how they were supposed to 🙂
We played Bern in the semi-finals on Sunday and beat them comfortably. The match against the Zurich Valkyries in the Final brought about the sweetest victory for the tournament, and especially for the whole season 🙂
The Pornstars were on the ball from the word go and stunned the Valkyries with a try in the first few minutes. The first half was clearly dominated by Luzern, however perhaps all the hangovers started kicking in during the second-half or the Valkyries started fighting back – I don’t know as I was already off buying victory beers for the team 🙂
CONGRATULATIONS to Petra who earned ‘Best Women’s Player of the Tournament’!!! This is a great achievement and very deserving! And a congratulations must also be extended to Elisabeth who was awarded a very special award by the Referees
